Colorize normal videos in Photoshop with LUTs

Colorize normal videos in Photoshop with LUTs

You can also colorize videos filmed without any special profile using LUTs. This allows you to give your normal video the same color scheme as your photos without the hassle of filming in S-LOG, V-LOG or other flat profiles.

You don't even need video software to do this. You can do it directly in Adobe Photoshop. Here's how.

For color grading videos that were shot on a flat profile such as S-LOG2, S-LOG3, Rec.09, V-LOG, etc., you need different LUTs.

But if you have a normal video that should quickly get a nice color grade, check out my SB LUTs which are specially designed for beautiful color looks for normal photos and videos.

  1. Drag and drop your video into Photoshop.
  2. Go to Adjustments > LUT and select a LUT, for example SB Blockbuster.
  3. Now go to File > Export > Render Video.

That's all.

Here is an example how the simple filmed video with Sylvia looks like with the SB Blockbuster LUT.
