Praise the Creator!

A few days ago I overheard a conversation between some women. It had to do with which moonphase was best suited for washing windows or cutting hair. One of the woman approached me and although I told her that I didn't believe in such things, she still continued to give me a passionate explanation of why she had the best experience of this topic. From my own experience, I know that the moon does play a role in our circulation system as well as hormonal fluctuations. Every child learns at school that the earth and the moon plays a role in tides and floods. As the body consists of approximately 70% water it is possible that these tides can impact people.

Whether proved or not, fact is, that people have always sought validation, and especially as to the fact that the moon and stars can assist them and bring them luck. (Isaiah 47:13) People study moonphase calendars and question the stars and believe in horoscopes written by people who think they possess wisdom with regard to these things. The saddest part of this, is that people degrade the “One” Who created the celestial bodies. God gave us these night lights, for the purpose of orientation and also for our joy, but they are there to light up the skies and for nothing more than that. Should we interpret the power of the sun, moon and stars, in any way other than for the purpose God intended, we give more glory to the Creation than to the Creator.

I especially like Psalm 148 where we read about the ranks of God's creation. Everything that God created, whether it be the sun, the moon or the stars, will praise Him and give Him glory. The entire creation is called to praise the Creator Who ranks above all. Namely, God, our Father in Heaven. We need to become aware what an awesome, perfect Creator we have and come together in one accord to give Him the most phenomenal praise of all times!

God's praise in heaven and on earth
Praise ye the LORD, Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: Praise Him in the heights. Praise ye Him, all His angels: Praise ye Him, all His hosts. Praise ye Him, sun and moon: Praise Him, all ye stars of light. Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the Name of the LORD: For He commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: He hath made a decree which shall not pass. Praise the LORD from the earth, Ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; Stormy wind fulfilling His word: Mountains, and all hills; Fruitful trees, and all cedars: Beasts, and all cattle; Creeping things, and flying fowl: Kings of the earth, and all people; Princes, and all judges of the earth: Both young men, and maidens; Old men, and children: Let them praise the Name of the LORD: For His Name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of His people, The praise of His saints; Even of the children of Israel, a people near unto Him. Praise ye the LORD.
