Punta Rata Beach – Brela

The Punta Rata Beach is located in the picturesque resort of Brela and is certainly the most famous beach in Makarska. Even the renowned Forbes Magazine named this dream beach one of the most beautiful beaches in the world back in 2004. It has also been awarded the Blue Flag. What makes Punta Rata Beach so special is its striking rock, the so-called “Kamen Brela – Symbol of Brela“, which rises out of the turquoise blue sea and gives the coast a unique ambience. Thanks to the natural surroundings, you can also discover numerous fish while snorkeling. This beach is one of the most beautiful on the Makarska Riviera and should not be missed on any vacation.

Tip: There are some great hotels in the area for a beach vacation. The Bluesun Hotel Maestral just a few steps away from Punta Rata beach is highly recommended.

Ikovac Beach – Baska Voda

A great place for a swim on the Makarska Riviera is the beautiful Ikovac Beach. This absolutely picturesque bay is located in the pretty resort of Baska Voda and is a great choice for a beach vacation on the Makarska coast. This 250-metre-long pebble beach is located to the north of the harbor and enchants visitors with its incredibly beautiful ambience. The light-colored pebbles, the turquoise blue sea and the mighty Biokovo Mountains make for a spectacular beach backdrop. Tip: The Noemia Apartments are an insider tip for a wonderful summer vacation. They are located almost directly on the beach, are very modern and also have a pool.

Makarska Beach

The approximately 1,500-metre-long main beach of Makarska town, also known as Gradska plaža, is one of the most popular beaches in the vacation region. It is located in the beautiful long bay of Donja Luka and is just a 10-minute walk from the picturesque old town. This very fine pebble beach is gently sloping, and countless pine trees provide cool shade. Makarska beach is also ideal for families with children. There are also numerous bars, restaurants and cafés along the bay. Numerous water sports such as pedal boating, aqua park and banana boating are also offered here.

Tucepi Beach

The 4-kilometre-long beach of Tucepi is a wonderfully gently sloping and bright pebble beach with a picturesque backdrop and great facilities. It is very popular with families with children and offers beach holidaymakers a varied program of leisure and water sports activities. Behind the beach is a beautiful promenade with stores, restaurants, bars and souvenir stores. Of course, there are also countless wonderful apartments and hotels in the resort of Tucepi, which are perfect for a vacation right by the sea.

Nugal Beach – Makarska

This natural bay is located in the Osejava Nature Park, between the town of Makarska and Tucepi, and can only be reached via a short hike. A backdrop straight out of a travel magazine awaits you here. High cliffs, glowing pine forests and the most beautiful sea colors conjure up an incredible ambience. Nugal beach is one of the best FFK beaches in Makarska, although non-nudists can also use their own sections of the beach. A unique dream beach that you should see during your vacation on the Makarska Riviera.

Podrace Beach – Brela

The Podrace Beach is a true pearl among the most beautiful beaches on the Makarska Riviera. It is located in the popular resort of Brela, just a short walk from the famous Punta Rata Beach. The fragrant pine forests just behind the beach are also really pretty and provide soothing shade on hot summer days. In the high season, a small beach bar provides the necessary refreshments and parasols and sun loungers can be hired.

Duba Beach

The Duba Beach is located in the south of Makarska, near Blato, and is an absolute insider tip for a quiet and secluded beach holiday on the Riviera. The beach is located below the coastal road, with a few parking spaces available for a fee. Due to its secluded location, this beautiful beach offers wonderful secluded spots to relax. Perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet and want to swim away from the hustle and bustle. The pebbles here are particularly light, and the sea is turquoise blue, creating a picturesque ambience. There are some highly recommended snorkeling spots along the rocks.
